This tour covers the dry forest of the west pacific side, mid elevation near volcanoes, and the northernmost part of Costa Rica. This tour offers three major habitat zones, with many different variations of terrain like foothills, wetlands, and dry forest and rain forest who offers a huge number of species.

Trip Biography.
Our arrival at the Juan Santamaria International Airport will be our first step into Costa Rica, and Alajuela is the city where we will spend our first night at this country.
In essence, on the beginning of our trip, we will visit one of the most famous Parks in the world "Carara National Park" which is in a transition zone that encompasses unique characteristics such as dry forest, rain forest, mangroves, meandering lagoons, calm water rivers that flow into the Gulf of Nicoya.
Equally the birding is amazing, in this place some of the species to see are Orange-collared Manakin, Streak-chested Antpitta, Mangrove Hummingbird and the emblematic Royal Flycatcher.
Then we will travel to the foothills of two impressive volcanoes covered with green foliage full of native fauna and abundant flocks of birds, these two volcanos are called Miravalles and Tenorio where the air is e refreshing welcome to enjoy it a good coffee or perhaps a tea of choice, besides that we can watch the birds from the balcony of the Lodge as long as you like, the day full of surprises.
Our next stop is, the Arenal Volcano, which is well known for its conical shape almost designed by a sculptor, offers a pure concept of what a semi-active volcano is, this place is surrounded by pure nature with gardens and trails. of high quality that makes one feel the natural paradise of biodiversity. Some rare species appear in this location is instance Thicked Antpitta, Semiplumbeous Hawk, Rufous Motmot, Great Curassow and of course, many more in mix flocks.
La Fortuna de San Carlos invites visitors to enjoy traditional food with international touches of haute cuisine. This place one of the best places to visit the hot springs after a good day of walking in the area.
Understanding what being near a volcano is, we will the Tilaran Mountain Range to experience the cloud forest means. Monteverde will be our home for the next few days of the tour. This place is full of surprises that create an nforgettable impression on the visitor. Following the idea, Monteverde is a mixture of nature and cultures where the English language is spoken almost more than Spanish, creating a rapprochement with the locals and their culture. The specialties here are the T-w Bellbird, B-n Umbrellabird, Black Guan, Long-tailed Manakin with many more creatures.
Finally, we will return to the vicinity of the airport to end our trip, in the fastest way possible. Of course, during the journey back to our hotel in the city, we will visit new places for birding that will give us the perfect farewell to this unique trip through this wonderful country.
